LAP: Live green, feel great

The Liberal Arts Program (LAP) recently held a lecture on sustainable living with entrepreneur and sustainability advocate Pacita “Chit” Juan. Partners and staff attended the lecture titled In green company, which forms part of the Firm’s sustainability-themed 65th year anniversary.

Ms. Juan, who was awarded Small Business Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2003, is the founder of trailblazing green businesses such as Le Bistro Vert sustainable foods, Le Bistro sustainable coffees and ECHOstore sustainable living. She narrated the story of ECHOstore, an establishment that caters to environmentally conscious consumers, and her goal of bringing together people who care for themselves, their communities and the planet.

Ms. Juan added that even the smallest things — conserving energy, saving water, starting a backyard garden, buying local products, helping underprivileged communities — can contribute to a more sustainable life. Closing her lecture with a call to action, she reminded SGVeans that now is the time to become Generation G — green, generous and great.
