EY expands its global footprint; inaugurates 5th Global Delivery Network location in the Philippines

Makati City, 15 September 2015. EY, one of the big four professional services organizations, announced the start of its Global Delivery Network (GDN) operations in the Philippines. This is the fifth GDN location, in addition to Argentina, China, India and Poland. The GDN plays an important role in EY’s globalization strategy by leveraging diverse talent capabilities and developing new competencies across the globe to strengthen its commitment to deliver exceptional service to its clients. This robust and consistent network of service delivery locations has proven to be a distinct advantage for EY in seamlessly running and enabling its businesses.

In its initial phase, the GDN location in the Philippines will offer Advisory Services, including Performance Improvement, Risk, and Advisory Support capabilities. It will also provide IT Services, Business and Creative Services focused on Administrative Support and Creative Design, as well as Knowledge Services comprising Market and Competitive Trend Analysis along with Industry Analytics. EY GDN will continue to build additional capabilities to its services portfolio in the future, based on the growing needs of its customer base.

GDN Philippines was launched in collaboration with SGV & Co., an EY member firm since 2002. SGV Chairman and Managing Partner Vic Noel said, “We believe it is crucial to adapt to the rapidly evolving global business environment. By establishing a GDN location in the Philippines, SGV and EY will provide more employment opportunities while leveraging Filipino talent to strengthen EY’s global service offerings. Operating a center in a Metro like Manila means increased visibility for Filipino professionals who meet global standards. It also recognizes their competencies honed by SGV’s rigorous training, culture and values and sustained by EY’s global network and innovative methodologies.”

Speaking at the launch, Tim Eddy, EY’s Business Enablement Shared Services and Global Talent Hubs Leader, shared, “Our new GDN Location in the Philippines strengthens our Global Delivery Network and allows us to enhance our delivery capability to our clients across Asia Pacific and the rest of the world. We will now have access to a larger pool of talent, which will give our teams more power, speed and flexibility to develop and execute market strategies that will help us win in the market.”

The GDN facilities inauguration was also graced by Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Ponciano Manalo, Jr., who congratulated SGV and EY saying, “This facility is truly a testament to the commitment of EY and SGV to help make the Philippines an attractive place for business, particularly for those involved in the fast-growing outsourcing sector. The Global Talent Hub and Global Shared Services facilities will serve as a venue to showcase the talents of our global professionals.”

The Philippines is the world’s third-largest English-speaking nation and produces 350,000 college graduates each year, thereby providing a highly-educated talent pool. Its business-friendly environment and time zone advantages give the country a competitive edge among emerging market peers.
