SGV Davao plants mangroves to protect coastal communities

SGV Davao recently held a mangrove planting activity at Sitio Malamboon, Brgy. 76-A Bucana, Davao City. With the assistance of Davao City’s Environment and Natural Resources Office, over 1200 seedlings were planted along the shore of Sitio Malamboon, Davao City.

This undertaking aimed to promote a deeper involvement in environmental protection since mangrove planting is one of the climate change adaptation measures that coastal communities can undertake to protect the land from strong winds, tides and storm surges.

SGV Davao believes that planting trees is essential to mitigating the effects of global climate change and preserving the natural environment for future generations.
