SGV-at-70-Strength-Growth-Vision
SGV observes its 70th year in 2016. We celebrate how SGV’s strength, growth and vision continue to evolve since it was founded in 1946 as a one-man operation. Today we are a team of almost 6,000 people and we have 32,000 alumni worldwide. SGV continues to expand, offering new services to serving new markets and expanding globally through the Asia Pacific Talent Hub and the EY Global Delivery Network. For the past 70 years, SGV has been guided by the same vision of contributing to national development through its quality services and people.

This legacy is perfectly summed up in the hashtag #StrengthGrowthVision. Use this hashtag in your social media posts to show your SGV pride.

The hashtag is also a key element in our 70th anniversary logo, which is featured in this year’s SGV Tax Calendar, SGV Museum Planner and birthday cards, among other materials. This milestone event is considered a diamond anniversary, and the stone served as inspiration for the logo’s blue color.

SGV Fact: Did you know?

In 1946, Washington SyCip’s one-man operation, W.SyCip & Co., opened at the Trade and Commerce Building on Juan Luna Street in Binondo, Manila. The building was one of the few buildings left intact after World War II and at one time served as headquarters of General Douglas McArthur. It was eventually demolished, but one of its doors was recovered and put on display at the SGV Museum in Shang Grand Tower.

(Throughout the year, the eNews will feature interesting facts about SGV that show its strength, growth and vision.)
