RMM speaks at AmCham Tax webinar

Tax Partner Reynante M. Marcelo (RMM) recently spoke at a virtual tax briefing titled The Philippines’ New Transfer Pricing Requirements. Organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines’ Financial Services, Taxes and Tariffs (FSTT) Committee, the webinar elaborated on the BIR’s transfer pricing requirement on the filing of an Information Return for Related Party Transactions. 

After the opening message given by AmCham Executive Director Ebb Hinchliffe, FSTT Committee Co-Chairpersons Rombit Co and SGV Tax Principal Jules E. Riego (JER) encouraged participants to understand the latest government issuances to enhance their organization’s operations and regulatory compliance.

RMM discussed the salient features and respective requirements for Revenue Regulations No. 19-2020, and Revenue Memorandum Circular Nos. 76-2020 and 98-2020. He also provided insights on how taxpayers and stakeholders can comply with the new regulations to ensure that related transactions are properly disclosed and conducted at arm’s length. The discussion was followed by an open forum led by RMM and moderated by JER.
