Jim Turley recently retired as EY Global Chairman and CEO. He chose to spend his last days as head of EY here in the Philippines on 28 June. He had a full day and started with a talk on globalization with the partners and staff of SGV, and invited guests from the University of the Philippines and Asian Institute of Management. In the afternoon he has one last Town Hall meeting with the SGV partners, followed by a lighthearted talk-show style meet and greet with SGV staff called “The Lighter Side of Jim.” At the event, he fielded questions from the staff regarding his personal life, including his daily routines and what his plans are for retirement.

The evening was capped with a dinner held in his honor at the Fairmont Hotel. During the dinner, Jim was presented the Order of the Mango, which is given to individuals who have shown excellence and dedication to their organization and who have served as an inspiration to Filipinos. The award was presented to him by SGV Founder Washington SyCip and Chairman and Managing Partner Vic Noel.
