SGV’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) recently conducted a financial literacy briefing for teachers in the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Head Office. The briefing provided teachers with a better appreciation of personal finance and risk management. More than 80 public school teachers from NCR and the CALABARZON region attended the event. It was part of the official launch of the 2014 GSIS National Teachers’ Month which ended on October 5, World Teacher’s Day.

Associate Director Belvin Armenion discussed personal financial planning and budgeting, cash flow management and debt management. Associate Director Hazel Apa then talked about personal savings and investments, risk management and insurance, and retirement.

The core team also includes Senior Associates Chris Zabala and Arjay Elnas with Janeth Nuñez-Javier (JNJ) and Christian G. Lauron (CGL) as Market Group 5 overseeing partners.
