EY and ProMéxico team up to boost Mexican investments in Asia

More Mexican companies could set up operations in Asia Pacific following the signing of an agreement last 16 November 2015 between EY and ProMéxico to help boost Mexican trade and investments in the region. The event was held at the SGV Executive Lounge in Makati City.

EY and Mexico’s lead trade promotions agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that aimed to advance Mexican business presence in the region. Under the agreement, EY will extend assistance to Mexican companies doing business in Asia as well as to Asia Pacific companies trading and investing in Mexico.

EY ASEAN International Tax Leader Luis Coronado, who is based in Singapore, represented EY at the signing, while ProMéxico was represented by its CEO, Francisco Gonzalez, and Mexican Trade Commissioner for the Philippines and Taiwan, Ari Ben Saks. “This is consistent with our emerging markets focus as the next generators of profitable growth. The recently signed TPP is certainly a step in the right direction,” said Luis. SGV Partner Ladis Avila and Senior Director Deonah Marco were also present at the event.
