Risk Associate Jeremiah Luy recently passed the GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) exam. Administered by the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), the GWAPT exam tests and validates the ability of the practitioner to conduct technical web application security testing and vulnerability identification.

Risk Director Alvin Manuel and Senior Associates Alexander Oliveros and Nixon Garais successfully completed the Certified Payment Industry Security Implementer (CPISI) training and examination. CPISI is an independent Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) implementation training and certification offered by SISA Infosec. PCI DSS is a globally accepted standard for security measures over cardholder information developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).


Risk Associate Director Michelle Claire de Luna obtained first place in the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) examination. CRISC is an ISACA certification that one has gained risk management proficiency to understand business risks and has the technical knowledge to implement appropriate information systems controls.

In addition to IT- and cybersecurity-related certifications, our cybersecurity professionals are encouraged to earn internal audit certifications. Senior Associate Mary Grace Uy passed the recent examinations and joined the ranks of SGV’s Certified Internal Auditors (CIA).
