CGL joins ADB regional forum

Financial Services Risk Management partner Ian Lauron (CGL) was a key resource speaker at the recent Fourth Regional Forum for Asia-Pacific Banks organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Ian presented a case study on the internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP) for banks in Asia Pacific. He also served on the panel of the forum for Standard and Poor’s on stress testing: Maximizing the value of new techniques.

In his ICAAP discussion, Ian stressed that Asia-Pacific banks need to embed ICAAP in strategic planning and move towards capital optimization and allocation. During the stress testing forum, Ian emphasized the importance of stress testing as an institution-wide exercise in mindfulness and not as an organized response to yesterday’s paranoia.
