The Liberal Arts Program (LAP) kicked off its 2011 lineup with “Are we losing our country’s soul?” held on January 24, 2011. Lawyers and non-lawyers alike came together to listen to this month’s guest lecturer Marites Danguilan Vitug, award-winning author and chair of the advisory board of Newsbreak.

Newspaper articles published on 13 January 2011 regarding a civil complaint filed by Messrs. Roman Reyes and Protacio Tacandong against Cirilo P. Noel (current managing partner) and David L. Balangue (former managing partner) presented an incomplete picture of the status of the case.

Students from the University of Innsbruck visited SGV as part of the Asian Studies Program of the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET). The delegation was led by Prof. Christian Traweger, Honorary Consul of the Philippines to Austria.
