Briefing on Chinese enterprises held

Our SGV partners, along with members of the Chinese Enterprises Philippines Association (CEPA), gathered for a talk on Chinese Enterprises in the Philippines spearheaded by The Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Philippines. Senior Adviser Ambassador Delia Albert formally opened the briefing while Economic and Commercial Counsellor Wu Zhengping welcomed the participants.

The briefing sought to share highly relevant information on the status of Chinese businesses in the Philippines and updates on the country’s investor climate and greater business landscape. Third Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office Zhou Jianhuan presented China’s projected economic development in the coming years, Consular Attache Zhu Min discussed trade and economic relations between China and Philippines and Counsellor Wu capped the briefing with updates from the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Knowledge Institute director Alex Dacanay also presented economic updates.

Ending on a relaxed note, the participants convened at the Executive Lounge for cocktails following the briefing.
